The SPIN (Strategic Press Information Network) Project provides technical assistance, in the field, to community organizations. SPIN helps grow the capacity of grassroots groups to shape public opinion and garner positive media attention. SPIN provides comprehensive media training, intensive media strategizing, and follow-up support.   SPIN is a part of the Independent Media Institute, formerly known as Institute for Alternative Journalism.
